The challenge

Since 2005 the Swiss consumer goods company Wenger belongs to Victorinox AG. In former times they were famous for manufacturing Swiss Army Knives, whereas nowadays they are specialized in producing luggage and watches.


Dynamic, modern and at home in the world’s metropolises – but careful not to forget its traditional Swiss roots: this is how Wenger wants to present its values and itself on the new brand platform on the web. As a long term full service agency partner of Victorinox, Merkle was asked to relaunch the website.

Our approach

Focussing on an efficient implementation and using synergy effects we chose the following approach:

  • Applying SAP Hybris, in accordance with the global website and e-shop of Victorinox
  • Using existing technical functionalities, components and configurations
  • Adapting the design to the corporate identity of the Wenger brand, based on existing templates

The new and user-friendly website is a modern representation of Wenger and its values.

Cost efficient implementation and low maintenance effort.

Besides the cost efficient implementation due to existing technical components, the company also benefits from a low maintenance effort in the long term.

Holistic brand identity and sales concept.

The website relaunch is an important part of the holistic brand identity and sales concept of the company and deals as a foundation for the roll-out of a global e-commerce platform, which they implemented with Merkle as their partner until 2018.
