Challenge

As a proud sponsor of TeamNL, Odido aimed to connect with customers on a deeper level. They faced two main challenges: raising awareness of our sponsorship through emphasizing shared values with TeamNL that resonate with the audience and engaging customers to foster loyalty. They needed a campaign that would inform, inspire, and activate our audience, linking the Olympic spirit with our brand.

  1. Raise awareness for TeamNL
    TeamNL represents the Netherlands in international sports, embodying excellence, dedication, and national pride. As a sponsor, Odido supports Dutch athletes who inspire millions. Our goal was to increase awareness of the sponsorship and strengthen the connection between our customers and the values TeamNL stands for: teamwork, perseverance, and national pride.​

    To achieve this, they offered selected customers a TeamNL t-shirt to show their support for the 2024 Olympic Games. Through engaging marketing materials, they highlighted the athletes' stories and the essence of being part of TeamNL.

  2. Activate and inspire Odido Customers
    Our TeamNL t-shirt giveaway campaign aimed to inspire and activate customers by tapping into the Olympic excitement. They wanted to bring customers closer to the athletes and the events that unite us all. The secondary goal was to boost customer engagement and loyalty. By participating in the campaign, customers could receive an exclusive TeamNL t-shirt, helping them feel connected to the Dutch athletes and the Olympic spirit.

Approach

To engage Odido’s newsletter subscribers before the Olympic Games, we launched a campaign offering 2.500 exclusive TeamNL t-shirts. This campaign delighted customers and showcased the benefits of a multichannel approach using Marigold Engage.​

We started with a personalized email inviting subscribers to claim their t-shirt. They were directed to a custom landing page to check real-time t-shirt size availability. Marigold Engage recognized returning customers, ensuring a smooth, personalized experience. Customers could also ship the t-shirt to a different address, adding flexibility.​

After placing an order, customers received an instant confirmation email, building trust. Marigold Engage provided operational advantages like real-time stock insights, preventing overselling and duplicate orders. It also allowed Odido to send all orders to the fulfillment house in one efficient batch.
