The purpose of this role is to understand, model and facilitate change in a significant area of the business and technology portfolio either by line of business, geography or specific architecture domain whilst building the overall Architecture capability and knowledge base of the company.

The Enterprise Architect is responsible for making key technical decisions and ensuring that IT strategies align with business goals. You will possess strong leadership, stakeholder management, and the ability to drive efficiencies while identifying growth opportunities. You will provide strategic guidance, optimize technology investments, and lead multi-platform implementations for our clients.

You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to define scalable architectures, ensuring seamless integration across various platforms, and driving digital transformation. You will be a thought leader, influencing both technical and business strategies while ensuring best practices in system design, security, and performance. You will report to the CMS Senior Technical Director.

Applicants must reside within a commutable distance to Denver, Colorado.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the accountable decision-maker for all technical aspects of enterprise architecture.

  • Define and implement technology roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

  • Manage high-level stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment between business and technology strategies.

  • Lead and mentor teams, fostering a culture of innovation, technical excellence, and collaboration.

  • Identify opportunities for business growth and contribute to sales initiatives by providing technical expertise and strategic recommendations.

  • Optimize technology processes, improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing system scalability.

  • Provide expert advisory to customers, guiding them on best practices, technology adoption, and avoiding potential pitfalls.

  • Ensure compliance with security, scalability, performance, and regulatory requirements.

  • Drive architectural governance, ensuring consistency, reusability, and standardization across multiple workstreams

  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to drive digital transformation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, technology SMEs, including developers, DevOps engineers, security teams, and product managers.

  • Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies, ensuring robust and future-proof architectures.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of experience designing and building IT solutions across various domains.

  • 3-5 years of experience in enterprise architecture for large-scale implementations.

  • Proven expertise in enterprise architecture, IT strategy, and technical leadership roles.

  • Stakeholder management and leadership abilities, with experience engaging with C-suite executives and business leaders.

  • Deep understanding of modern IT frameworks, cloud-native architectures, and enterprise integration patterns.

  • Ability to analyze complex systems and provide clear, strategic recommendations.

  • Experience in escalation management, handling high-pressure situations effectively.

  • A consultative mindset to guide clients effectively.

Technical Knowledge:

  • CMS Expertise: Strong experience with AEM (big plus) or other CMS platforms, including their implementation and integration.

  • Adobe Products: Experience with Adobe Experience Cloud products is a significant advantage.

  • Architectures: Expertise in Headless & Composable architectures, ensuring flexibility and scalability.

  • Microservices Architecture: Proven ability to design, develop, and manage scalable, loosely coupled services using industry best practices.

  • Scalability & Performance: Experience optimizing backend services to handle high traffic, low latency, and rapid scalability requirements.

  • Multi-Tenant Architecture: Ability to design systems that support multiple brands and customization for different channels.

  • Cloud Technologies: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

  • Authentication & Authorization: Strong understanding of security protocols such as OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and best practices for securing APIs and applications.

  • DevOps Practices: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Event-Driven Architecture: Knowledge of designing asynchronous architecture.

  • Experience with enterprise systems such as:

    • Commerce Platform

    • DAM (Digital Asset Management)

    • PIM (Product Information Management)

    • ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning)

    • MDM (Master Data Management)

    • Marketing Automation tools (Adobe Marketo, HubSpot, Salesforce Marketing Cloud)

    • CRM (Customer Relationship Management) solutions (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics)

The annual salary range for this position is $136,000-$219,650. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law. Additionally, this position is eligible for discretionary incentive compensation.
