What your role and typical day might look like
As a Technical Consultant in our Managed Services team at Merkle, you play quite a vital role for our clients. You will be responsible for developing improvements, investigating and fixing issues and supporting a range of clients as the Technical Specialist. While a clear part of the Merkle Managed Services Team, you’ll develop detailed knowledge across client ecosystems and Salesforce instances, acting as an extension of the clients technology team to ensure smooth running of day-to-day operations.
Responsibilities could include
Monitor and manage Jira workflow, owning assigned tickets end to end.
Collaborate with the functional consultants, where required, to investigate client requirements/issues, create estimations for time and build, design solutions, test and deploy.
Offering technical expertise to support wider team and client Salesforce ecosystems - Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and/or Analytics Cloud applications, delivered inline to best practice DevOps and ITIL methodologies.
Document changes and creating/delivering training where required and testing technical solutions to ensure fit for purpose and effective solution design accounting for the client’s wider application ecosystem/architecture.
Supervise, inspire, and motivate team members to produce high quality outcomes, ensure a high-quality output that meets or exceeds client expectations.
A bit about you
2+ years’ experience as a technical consultant or developer delivering technical Salesforce solutions (support or project environment), across the core Salesforce Clouds: e.g. Sales, Service and/or Analytics. Experience with CPQ and Marketing Cloud would be a bonus but not mandatory.
Experience with Omnistudio, especially Omniscipt, would be highly valuable, but not mandatory, we’re happy to teach and support training.
Relevant Salesforce certifications and tertiary qualification/degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar area of study.
Good understanding and hands-on experience using Java/.NET/C#/HTML/JavaScript.
Knowledge of integration/API/ESB development – Rest, Soap, Mule would be beneficial but not mandatory
Experience working in Agile SDLC environments. Knowledge/experience in DevOps, ITIL, ITSM and CI/CD pipelines will be highly beneficial but not mandatory.
